CfMM’s June 2025 report concludes that the BBC is systematically biased against Palestinians in Gaza war coverage. Analysing more than 35,000 pieces of BBC content, the report concludes that Israeli deaths received 33 times more coverage per fatality than Palestinian deaths, despite the far higher number of Palestinian casualties.
The study also identifies differences in language and representation, finding that the BBC used more emotive terms for Israeli victims, interviewed significantly more Israeli than Palestinian voices, and frequently challenged genocide allegations while giving little attention to statements by Israeli officials cited in that context.
The report argues that these patterns reveal a systematic minimisation of Palestinian suffering and amplification of Israeli narratives, victimisation and emotive stories.
