On 6 July, Liberal Democrats parliamentarians were briefed on recent developments in the occupied West Bank in a session hosted by Jewish anti-occupation movement Na’amod.
The session brought together powerful testimonies from Palestinian activists living in the South Hebron Hills, who discussed the daily realities of life under occupation, including the constant threat of demolition orders, settler violence and military raids, as well as how Palestinian communities and activists are organising in response. Members of the Na’amod team also reflected on their recent protective presence trip to the West Bank and the escalation in violence and forced displacement they witnessed there.
The session was hosted by Liberal Democrat MP Manuela Perteghella.
