On 31 March, responding to the Israeli Knesset’s passage of a discriminatory bill introducing the death penalty for terrorism-related offences – which in practice will likely only apply to Palestinians – Lib Dem Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Calum Miller MP said on X:
“This law is an affront to decency, fairness and the rule of law. Discriminating against Palestinians contravenes Israel’s obligations under international law. UK must call for the Israeli Government to revoke this discriminatory and inhumane legislation.”
