On 9th October 2025, in an interview with Jeremy Vine, Layla Moran MP condemned the exclusion of Palestinian representatives from post-ceasefire governance plans for Gaza:
“Trump’s original 20-point peace plan involved the Palestinian Authority – who are the legitimate representatives of the Palestinian people and who have rejected Hamas over and over again – but Netanyahu rejected the PA being apart of it,” Layla said.
“This is a repeated cycle of trauma and violence that passes down. And if we want this to stop, the key thing that needs to change is that Palestinians need to be in the driving seat of their own destiny, just as the Israelis have throughout.”
